So you’ve been querying your manuscript and it’s been crickets. Or, perhaps you’re getting started and want to make sure your query letter puts your best foot forward. With this service, Lisa will review an existing query for a single manuscript, provide written feedback on your letter and one review of revised query after feedback.

Some young students prefer private sessions. In these, Lisa uses a guided writing method to help students plan a story, then models strategies and offers craft suggestions as they write in real time in a shared document. Teaching is customized to each student — strategies may include writing games to help them learn structure, punctuation, and other standard English conventions, as well as graphic novel software, movie clips, classic literature, or sometimes just a goofy hat and a dance!
